August saw us winning three GOLD Awards at the 2007 Great Taste Awards. Gold for : Best Single Estate Tea, Best Blended Tea ann Best Herbal Tea. Great Taste Awards 2007

2007 saw Pluckley Tea featuring in THE APPRENTICE with Sir Alan Sugar. The task was to buy local products in Kent and sell them at a farmers market in France. One team took a consignment of Pluckley Tea !! The Kentish Express write up on the programme was quite entertaining !

Buy Tea online was our press message for 2006. We again received several awards including two Golds at the 2006 Great Taste Awards .

Then the Local Newspaper The Kentish Express asked for an interview and the following week a two page spread appeared about Kent Tea and the Family History.

Upon reading this story the BBC made contact the next day and asked if they could make a news film for the programme South East Today. Mr Robin Gibson the reporter of the year was commissioned to make the film along with cameraman "Peter".

Includes footage from our Pluckley Factory and also old cine film of the family in Assam on the Tea Estate back in the 1950's.

Then one sunny afternoon in July I was invited over to the studio's of Radio Kent in Tunbridge Wells for a light hearted talk and sampling of Teas including some of our more unusual offerings which caused quite a stir !

The Great Taste Awards 2006 were announced and again we picked up more Awards. GOLD for the best Single Estate Tea for our Darjeeling White 1st Flush Tea, GOLD for the best Blended Tea Bags for our ever popular Bombay Spicy Massala Chai and a SILVER for our Single Estate Assamese Tea Bags.

And on we go... We hope to be offering a range of Cretan Mountain Teas before long.
