Tea and Coffee Brewing Guide
flavored tea brewing, brewing green tea and of course brewing traditional teas and coffees.
TEA - Speciality Tea
1. Always use the best Quality Leaf Tea or Tea Bags available to you 2. Keep your Teas stored correctly. An airtight container kept at room temperature is best. 3. Always draw fresh water before boiling. Do not use reboiled water. 4. Measure the tea you are using correctly, teas do vary and we do have tea guides in the product sections. 5. As an old fashioned guide it was always said a teaspoon per person and on for the pot. 6. Let the Tea brew for the advised time.
flavored teas such as tisanes have a longer brew time whils't green teas soon become harsh if over brewed.
COFFEE - Gourmet Coffees - Their are many ways of making coffee - filter - cafetiere - espresso machine etc.
1. Always use coffee that is as fresh from roasting as possible. 2. If you have Wholebeans grind just before brewing for maximum freshness. 3. Freshly drawn water is essential 4. If using an espresso machine ensure coffee grind is set to the espresso roast 5. For Cafetiere users count to ten once the kettle has boiled for the perfect water temperature. 6. Let the coffee brew before plunging for Cafetiere users. 7. Filter Coffee users be aware that coffee stews if left on the hot plate too long.
