Japanese Sencha Fukujyu tea is from Shizuoka district in the Fujiama mountain area. About half of all Japans teas come from here. This Japanese Sencha is harvested mechanically in the autumn and then it is steamed ( Sencha is Japanese for steamed ) before lightly rolling and drying. The leaf has a very fine and fragile structure. In the cup you get a lovely shimmering light olive green colour. This is a strong green tea with distinct taste and dominant note.
