Most will know (and love!) Wimbledon for being home to the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. For around two weeks every year, sports fans from around the world flock to this part of London.

Indulging with a bowl of strawberries and cream is the tradition during this time. However, there is also the option of enjoying an Afternoon Tea in Wimbledon, too!

Sorry, we do not currently have any places for afternoon tea in this region. If you would like to submit your business to be listed in this area please Fill out our listing form here.

People have inhabited this area since the Iron Age. In 967 CE, a village stood here known as “Wimbedounyng”. By the 18th century, the introduction of stagecoach services contributed significantly to its growth.

Transport links improved further with railway lines to Croydon established during the 19th century. Today, Wimbledon is a flourishing district that continues to enthral thousands of visitors every year.

Aside from tennis, visitors enjoy a walk through Wimbledon Common. Those looking for light entertainment might instead travel to New Wimbledon Theatre. Alternatively, there is never a bad time to stop by at an Afternoon Tea Wimbledon establishment!
