When it comes to the history of Liverpool, it all started with a settlement known as “Liuerpul” dating back to at least 1190. It later became a borough in 1207 and a city in 1880. During the early 20th century, it was home to both Cunard and White Star Line. As such, it was also the port of registry of the ocean liner RMS Titanic, RMS Lusitania, RMS Queen Mary and RMS Olympic. Most of these vessels need little introduction!
