Apart from enjoying a nice spot of lunch, what’s on offer in County Armagh? As it turns out, quite a lot! The Armagh Observatory, founded in 1790, is a modern, working astronomical research institute with a rich heritage.
It’s no real surprise, then, that all those interested in ‘the great beyond’ will be hard-pressed to find a better place.
Additionally, there’s the Armagh Public Library on Abbey Street in Armagh City. Here, one can find, among other treasures, Dean Jonathan’s Swift’s own copy of the first edition of his “Gulliver’s Travels”.
