Gerrards Cross is the site of an Iron Age hillfort known as Bulstrode Park Camp. However, compared to the likes of most other English towns, the settlement is relatively ‘new’.

In fact, Gerrards Cross didn’t exist in any formal sense until 1859. It was named after the Gerrard family who lived here in the early 17th century.

Since its official founding, development has taken place at a rapid rate. Today, stopping in an Afternoon Tea Gerrards Cross establishment makes for a perfect pastime.
