Blackwater originally went by the name “Bredeford” according to records from 1281. In time, it developed around the Brydrs Ford crossing across the River Blackwater. This expansion took place slowly but consistently over several hundred years.

Today, spending time here makes for the perfect pastime, particularly while indulging at an Afternoon Tea Blackwater venue.
