Fleet is a bustling town situated in the Hart district of Hampshire, South East England. It finds itself 36 miles from London and 10 miles from Basingstoke. Although many associate its name with ‘passing through’ the nearby motorway services, there are many more reasons to stay exactly where you are.

This, of course, includes having an Afternoon Tea in Fleet. Below is a list of the best places around to get a nice, warming cuppa with all of your favourite treats and snacks.

The site where Fleet now stands was originally heathland in the Anglo-Saxon division of Crondall Hundred. Its name likely derives from the Norman French word “La Flete”, meaning “a stream or shallow water” – a reference to Fleet Pond.

Little development took place in this town until the arrival of the London and South Western Railway in 1840. From then onwards, it grew in both size and importance before becoming the place many people know and love today. Why not stop at an Afternoon Tea Fleet venue for lunch? You won’t regret it.
