Much of Edenbridge developed along a section of the London to Lewes Way, an ancient Roman road. Centuries later, during the Medieval era, the town became a centre of the Wealden iron industry.

In 1842, the first railway station, as part of a route from Redhill to Tonbridge, opened. Despite its small size, Edenbridge has a hospital which initially supported soldiers returning from World War One.

Afternoon Tea in Edenbridge is an excellent choice. Just meander down the London to Lewes Way, and you’re bound to find something. Expect a friendly face and professional service in whichever establishment you eventually decide upon.
