Until the 18th century, the town was known simply as “Bognor”. It later developed from a small fishing village into a seaside resort under the guidance of Sir Richard Hotham.

Suffice to say, Sir Hotham’s work throughout the late 1700s proved a tremendous success. Today, Bognor Regis has become a thriving tourist destination.

Why visit? Those looking to relax can lounge contentedly on the nearby beach. History fans, on the other hand, might prefer to go to the local museum. Whatever activities you partake in, be sure to spend your lunchtime at an Afternoon Tea Bognor Regis establishment.
