Chichester is the county town and only city in West Sussex. It is situated on the River Lavant, with much of it a designated conservation area. This is in part due to its outstanding architectural and historical significance, which has enthralled visitors for centuries.
Today, this beautiful city has much to keep tourists content, including the choice of many Afternoon Tea Chichester venues.

People have inhabited the area surrounding Chichester for thousands of years. It became a vital location during the Roman invasion of Britain in AD 43. To this day, the city centre stands on the foundations of the walled Roman city of Noviomagus Reginorum.
Remnants from this era include Roman baths (now a museum) and archaeological evidence of a former amphitheatre.
Fans of history and culture will be hard-pressed to find a better place than Chichester. It has also become a popular destination among theatregoers.
If this isn’t to your taste, there is always the option of having an Afternoon Tea in Chichester instead!
