This town has existed since the Anglo-Saxon era. However, much of its development took place after the arrival of the railway. The Steyning Line carried passengers from 1861 until 1966.

The route has since been transformed into a footpath and cycleway known as the Downs Link. A walk here is an excellent pastime. And once you’ve worked up an appetite, there is nothing quite stopping in an Afternoon Tea Steyning establishment. A day well spent!
