It is also, of course, an excellent place to stop for an Afternoon Tea in Launceston. Below, you will find a list of some of the best places to treat yourself and indulge.

Historically, Launceston was once the county town of Cornwall until 1835 when Bodmin replaced it (with Truro eventually replacing Bodmin).

Before then, it was the site of a pivotal confrontation between Royalist and Parliamentarian forces during the English Civil War. It also gave its name to the settlement of Launceston in Tasmania, Australia.

However, you don’t have to go all the way ‘down under’ to find a cosy, inviting Afternoon Tea Launceston venue.
