Description

Assam Behora FBOP Tea is an Indian Black Tea closely associated with our family-run establishment. It was here that Mr Robert Stammers, the grandfather of owner Mr Richard Smith, first started his journey in the Tea industry.

The Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Company has striven to build upon his incredible legacy. We now pack every Loose Tea, Tisane and Coffee fresh to order, ensuring quality and consistency.

What Does Assam Behora FBOP Tea Taste Like?

The rich, fertile soil found at Behora Estate plays a significant role in the character - and, indeed, charm - of this delicious Leaf Tea.

It ensures that, upon making a cuppa, you receive a traditionally full-bodied and malty note with every sip. Expect, too, a sweet, delectable finish that all but guarantees you’ll be rushing to put the kettle on in no time at all.

Assam Behora FBOP Tea Grade

What does the term “FBOP” mean? It stands for “Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe,” which is a grade of many noteworthy elements.

Perhaps most important is the fact that manufacturers have broken up its leaves into slightly smaller pieces, creating a full flavour when brewed. This makes it stronger than an FOP (Flowery Orange Pekoe) but less so than a BOP (Broken Orange Pekoe).

Assam Behora FBOP Tea Caffeine Content

Our Assam Behora FBOP Loose Tea keeps getting better. Should you need extra help getting out of bed in the morning, then look no further than here.

The average serving has around 45-mg of caffeine, a stimulating chemical compound that, in truth, needs little introduction. The bottom line is that, with its exceptional help, you can start your day the right way.

The Smith Family and the Behora Tea Estate

Four generations of the Smith family have worked with Tea and, somewhat more recently, Fresh Coffee. It began in 1928 when Robert Stammers, then aged 23, happened upon an advertisement by the Rajmai Tea Company of Assam, India.

The organisation was seeking a plantation assistant with engineering experience to work at Behora. He didn’t look back - and neither has our company.

How to Brew Assam Behora FBOP

1, Put Loose Leaf Assam Tea in a Tea Filter or Infuser.

2, Place the Tea-filled accessory in a cup.

3, Boil water and pour it over the Tea.

4, Allow it to steep for 3-5 minutes.

How to Serve: Milk, sugar, honey or lemon - the choice is yours. Alternatively, serve black.

Tasting Notes: Imparts malty overtones and sweet undertones.

Assam Behora FBOP Tea Benefits

Did you know that Black Tea, including Assam Behora FBOP, contains an abundance of vitamins, minerals and other antioxidants? These chemical compounds combined serve your health and wellbeing well.

They can, for instance, combat free radicals in the body, thereby working on a molecular level to reduce the risk of developing diabetes and heart disease. And there’s more.

Assam Behora FBOP Benefits Weight Loss

It turns out that these remarkable leaves help in reducing the size of your waistline. No more than two calories exists in an 8-oz cup, but that’s just the beginning.

Numerous scientific studies have likewise noted their ability to boost the metabolism of fat cells. This enables the body to burn fat quicker and more efficiently - which, in other words, promotes weight loss.
