Description

Assam Tea Halmari TGFBOP (Tippy Golden Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe) is an orthodox Loose Leaf Black Tea. It comes from the Halmari Tea Estate in Dibrugarh District, Assam, India, consisting of a rough, small leaf with golden tips.

When brewed, it produces a spicy-malty fusion of flavour catering both to traditionalists and those looking for something a little different.

If caffeine content is important to you, then you’ll be pleased to know that it has around 45-mg per 8-oz cup. What’s more, the latest scientific research suggests that, when enjoyed as part of a healthy and active lifestyle, it promotes weight loss and improves cardiovascular health.

Whatever your reason for choosing Assam Tea Halmari TGFBOP, you’re bound to find something to love.

What to Know About This Tea Grade

Tippy Golden Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe is a relatively uncommon Tea grade compared to the likes of regular FOP (Flowery Orange Pekoe) and BOP (Broken Orange Pekoe).

It is indeed a mix between the two, usually originating from only specific areas in Assam, as well as Darjeeling District in West Bengal. Expect high-quality leaves with a high proportion of tips.

Halmari Tea Estate, Dibrugarh, Assam

This garden - located in the Moran district of Dibrugarh, Assam - has been under the dutiful leadership of the Daga family since 1913.

Its boundaries (on the north bank of the Brahmaputra river) cover 374 hectares of land, much of which is under Tea cultivation.

Halmari holds several accolades, including the highest price ever achieved in Indian Tea auctions. In fact, it boasts the top five prices on the leaderboard.

However, our Halmari Assam tippy Tea is far more reasonably priced, while at the same time tasting great. It stands testament to the skill and determination of the Daga family, as well as each and every worker at the estate, over more than 100 years.

Why not realise its full potential with The Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Company today? You won’t regret it.

How to Brew Halamari Assam Tippy Tea

1, Add Assam Tea Halmari TGFBOP to a Tea Filter or Infuser.

2, Place the item in a mug or cup.

3, Boil water and pour it over the leaves.

4, Allow it to steep for 3-5 minutes.

How to Serve: Milk, sugar, honey or lemon - the choice is yours. Alternatively, serve black.

Benefits of Assam Tea Halmari TGFBOP

Would you believe that drinking Black Tea, including our Assam Tea Halmari TGFBOP, could help prevent hair loss?

This is at least partly because of its antioxidants, which combat and neutralise free radicals in the body. Its caffeine content also helps by decreasing a hormone that causes hair loss (known as DHT or dihydrotestosterone).

Some stylists even use Black Tea topically to soften hair while adding extra shine. It’s worth noting, however, that it isn’t the most famous infusion used for this purpose.

Consider alternatives such as Camomile Tea Benefits, Rooibos and Peppermint Tea for this particular benefit. You can buy each of these Herbal Teas right here at The Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Company.
