Description

Assam Tea Margherita GFBOP (Golden Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe) is a Black Tea from Margherita Tea Estate, Tinsukia District, Assam, India. It consists of an even, well-shaped leaf with golden tips.

When brewed, it produces a dark liquor with a strong spicy aroma and a full-bodied flavour. We pack it fresh to order here at our Kent-based factory, thus ensuring quality and consistency.

If high caffeine content is what you’re looking for, then you’ll be pleased to know that it has around 45-mg per 8-oz cup.

What’s more, the latest scientific research suggests that, when enjoyed as part of a healthy and active lifestyle, it improves cardiovascular health and promotes weight loss.

Whatever your reason for choosing Assam Tea Margherita GFBOP, you’ve decided well.

What to Know About This Tea Grade

Tippy Golden Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe is a relatively uncommon Tea grade compared to the likes of regular FOP (Flowery Orange Pekoe) and BOP (Broken Orange Pekoe).

It is indeed a mix between the two, usually originating from only specific areas in Assam, as well as Darjeeling District in West Bengal. Expect high-quality leaves with a high proportion of tips.

About the Margherita Tea Estate

This garden takes its name from a nearby township founded by an Italian engineer - hence why, perhaps, you thought of pizza when you read the description! Margherita was, in fact, the reigning queen of Italy at the time of the estate’s founding - in 1884.

It lies in the upper end of the Assam Valley, an area known for its rich and fertile soil and unique climatic conditions. This makes for excellent Tea-growing.

How to Brew This Loose Leaf Tea

1, Add the Leaf Tea to a Tea Infuser or Filter.

2, Place the Tea-filled accessory in a cup or mug.

3, Put the kettle on and, once boiled, pour it over the leaves.

4, Allow it to steep for 3-5 minutes.

How to Serve: Milk, sugar, honey or lemon - the choice is yours. Alternatively, serve black.

Health Benefits of Assam Tea Margherita

Evidence indicates that Black Tea Benefits the mind, body and soul in a plethora of ways. Our Margherita Assam Tea, in particular, contains an abundance of health-promoting antioxidants capable of combating free radicals in the body.

This remarkable work ultimately results in a reduced risk in developing numerous chronic conditions.

Furthermore, according to research, the Effects of Caffeine also improve life in small yet significant ways by, for example, boosting memory consolidation.

A study out of John Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA, can support this incredible claim with irrefutable proof.

It concluded that a 200 mg caffeine pill is all it might take to help those living with dementia.
