Description

Mysore Coffee comes from Southern India. It is a mild, creamy beverage with a smooth edge and a gentle aroma. If you like the taste of fresh Coffee Beans but don’t want to be overpowered by your morning cuppa, you’ve chosen well here.

You can embrace your favourite flavours - as well as that much-needed caffeine boost - without the worry of it being too much.

This delicious, wholesome Coffee is medium-roasted to perfection. We make it using the latest state-of-the-art Neuhaus Neotec fluidised air-bed system, which primarily uses convection heat transference to roast the beans.

We then pack it fresh to order here at our Kent-based factory - our way of guaranteeing quality and consistency, time and time again.

Indian Mysore Coffee and Other Coffees from India

The south of India, particularly Mysore in the state of Karnataka and the Malabar Coast of Kerala, has become increasingly known for its Coffee production.

While cultivation has taken place since the 16th century, Indian Coffee only emerged as a trade asset during the mid-1990s. This was when the government ceded tight control of the industry and returned it to the farmers.

The change had a dramatic effect in terms of both quality and sales. It is, indeed, emblematic of the nation’s own emergence as an economic powerhouse.

Although many common misconceptions about Indian Coffee prevail, including its supposed low calibre beans, most connoisseurs see through such falsehoods. Why not find out for yourself with our Mysore Coffee?

Why Choose Medium Roasted Beans?

Coffee Beans pop, crack and expand when subjected to heats between 350°F – 400°F, a phenomenon known as the “first crack.” This is where lighter roasts come about, which often have an earthy, grainy acidic taste.

Dark Roasts, meanwhile, are the product of heats between 465°F–485°F. This coincides with the end of the so-called second crack.

A Medium Roast, perhaps unsurprisingly, sits in the middle of the two. It is arguably the most common of all roasts, one that occurs during heats between 410°F and 430°F.

They tend to offer well-balanced, less-acidic tastes with a smoothness throughout. Such is the case with our Mysore Coffee, a beverage that goes above and beyond to impress all those who choose it.

How Much Caffeine in Indian Mysore Coffee

Not only is Mysore Coffee medium roasted; it also contains a “medium” amount of caffeine. This stimulating chemical compound, as the majority of people know already, famously gets us out of bed in the morning.

It exists naturally in around 60 plants. Mysore Coffee, specifically, has around 100-mg of caffeine per 8-oz cup - all the while tasting great.

  6. If Mocha is the Cabernet Sauvignon of Coffees, Mysore is the Cabernet Franc/Merlot blended to make the Coffee equivalent of a fine Claret.
