Description
You’ve found the best Rwandan Coffee around. The exceptional beans used in its making undergo medium-roasting, creating a full-bodied flavour when brewed. While not as famous as Kenya Coffee, Rwanda’s industry has much to offer - as, hopefully, you’re about to discover. The Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Company pack it fresh to order, our way of ensuring quality and consistency.
Journey From Plant to Roasting Rwandan Coffee
Only around 25% of Rwanda’s 11 million people live in an urban setting. The rest reside in the country, a sizable percentage of whom are Rwandan Coffee farmers. Estates find themselves scattered across hilly terrain and deep valleys.
Elevation has a significant role in the taste and characteristics of the beans, of which 95% derives from high-calibre Arabica Coffee plants.
Most of these were introduced by German missionaries in 1904, despite the fact that nearby Ethiopia was the birthplace of Coffee centuries before. Today, Rwanda Coffee accounts for 60% of the nation’s export earnings; Rwanda Rukeri Tea and others like it make up a further 30%.
When the beans arrive at our Kent-based factory, we roast them using the state-of-the-art Neuhaus Neotec fluidised air-bed system.
What Does Rwandan Coffee Taste Like?
The quality of Rwandan Coffee has improved dramatically in recent years. As a result, you’re almost certainly wondering, “What does Rwanda Coffee taste like?” You can expect it to boast deep notes of berry, citrus fruits and chocolate with refined acidity. It is a true delight from start to finish, one that will, undoubtedly, have you making another cuppa in no time at all.
Does Rwanda Coffee Have Caffeine?
Rwandan Coffee Beans come from the Coffea plant, which is one of sixty plants to contain caffeine naturally. Other examples include Camellia sinensis (Tea), Ilex Paraguariensis (Yerba Mate) and Theobroma cacao (Chocolate).
The average serving tends to have approximately 100-mg of caffeine - more than enough to get you out of bed in the morning! Why not discover its potential?
