How to Make Greek Coffee at Home 

Brewing Greek coffee is a straightforward and enjoyable process that can be done in just a few steps. All you need are some ground coffee, water, and the briki coffee pot. Here’s how to make it:

  1. Place two teaspoons of finely-ground coffee in the briki pot along with 1 cup of cold water (or more depending on the desired strength of your coffee).
  2. Stir the mixture and place it over medium-high heat until it begins to foam.
  3. Once it reaches the desired boiling point, remove from heat and allow it to settle for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Often, these claims were influenced by complicated political relationships between nations. For instance, the strained relations between Greece and Turkey following Turkey's invasion of Cyprus in 1974 resulted in the renaming of Turkish Coffee to Greek coffee.

Just like Turkish coffee, Greek coffee is brewed with extra fine ground coffee, sometimes referred to as Turkish grind. It is boiled in a tall, narrow pot called a briki, cezve, or ibrik.
