Description

Pomegranate White Iced Tea is a delicate infusion. When used as a base ingredient for an Iced Tea blend, it creates a wonderfully fresh taste with tart, fruity notes. Aside from pomegranate, other ingredients include the finest quality Chinese Pai Mu Tan Tea, Rose Petals and Cranberry pieces. Combined, these flavours create a brew well-suited to days out in the garden.

White Teas such as this one contain the highest levels of antioxidants over any other Tea. Indeed, this is even over Green Tea, which has long held the spotlight of Tea benefits. Its prevalence in these beneficial constituents is due to its near entire absence of oxidation. This lack of oxidation ensures that our Pomegranate White Iced Tea can improve your health in a variety of ways.

According to the latest scientific research, White Tea can reduce the risks of developing numerous chronic conditions. This includes cardiovascular disease, type-2 diabetes and even, very potentially, certain types of cancer. Furthermore, White Tea can boost the metabolism of fat cells. This enables the body to burn fat quicker and more efficiently, thus aiding with weight loss.

Whether you choose to drink Pomegranate White Iced Tea for its exceptional taste or remarkable health benefits is up to you. Either way, you're getting a Tea of extraordinary quality and capability. What more could you want from your cuppa?

About White Tea

White Tea comes from the Camellia sinensis plant, the same as Black, Green and Oolong Tea. The difference between each Tea comes about through the processing of the leaf. Workers wither the leaves used for the making of White Tea. They then promptly halt oxidation to maintain the freshness of the leaves. Its processing (or, rather, lack of), coupled with its minimal oxidation period results in a brew that is unmistakably delicate and very fresh.

About Iced Tea

Iced Tea has existed for centuries. However, it has only recently begun to increase in popularity. The early stages of this popularisation took place at the 1904 World's Fair held in St Louis, USA. On the first day of the event, one of the hottest days of the year, more than 200,000 people flooded the city to see the wonders of a new century.

Richard Blechynden, an American Tea plantation owner and vendor, began the day by offering samples of hot Tea. However, his efforts proved unsuccessful when no one came near his stall. In a moment of desperation, he decided to pour ice over the Tea as an incentive to those flailing in the heat. Suffice to say, it worked! Today, it has given rise to hundreds of Iced Tea beverages including our very own Pomegranate White Iced Tea.

Type of Tea: White Tea.

Ingredients: Pai Mu Tan Chinese White Tea, Rose Petals, Cranberry pieces and Natural Pomegranate Flavouring.

Brewing Instructions: Using 2 tsp of Tea per person, pour over water of 80 degrees in temperature so that it just covers the loose leaf. Following this, brew for 2 minutes, strain the leaves, and top up with cold water and ice cubes with any personal additions and decoration.

How to Serve: If you prefer a sweeter Iced Tea, then we suggest adding sugar or honey when adding the boiling water. We also recommend additions such as mint leaves and raspberries.

Tasting Notes: This Tea has a delicate, light, refreshing flavour with red berry notes.

Colour in Cup: Peachy liquor, light in tone.

Pomegranate White Iced Tea Benefits

White Tea contains fluoride, which has a high bioavailability capable of preventing cavities. Research published in the "Dental Research Journal" suggests that with every cup of White Tea consumed, an estimated 34% of its fluoride content is retained. This may not sound like much, but it could be enough to avoid a dreaded trip to the dentist!
