What is Elderflower Green Tea?

This refined beverage combines the gentle, grassy flavours of green tea with the fragrant, slightly sweet taste of elderflower blossoms. This blend not only captivates the palate, but also provides numerous health benefits, making it a popular choice among tea enthusiasts seeking both pleasure and wellness from their cup.

The creation involves a careful process. It starts with selecting the highest quality of Green Loose Tea, known for their high antioxidant content and numerous health benefits, including improved brain function and fat loss.

These leaves are then meticulously infused with elderflower, a flower known for its immune-boosting properties and its ability to alleviate symptoms of cold and flu. It also adds a distinctive, sweet, and floral note to the tea, enhancing the flavour profile without overpowering the delicate taste of the green tea.

This tea can be enjoyed at any time of the day, serving as a rejuvenating morning beverage or a soothing drink in the afternoon or evening. It is best brewed with water just short of boiling, to preserve the subtle nuances of flavour and the antioxidant properties of the green tea leaves.

For those looking to add a touch of sweetness, a small amount of honey can complement the floral notes of elderflower beautifully.

How to Make Elderflower with Green Tea

Creating a cup of Elderflower with Green Tea is an art that requires attention to detail, ensuring that the gentle balance of flavours is perfectly achieved. Here's a simple guide to brewing your own enchanting cup:

  • Prepare Your Ingredients: You will need one teaspoon of the blend for each cup. Ensure you have fresh, preferably filtered, water ready to use.
  • Heat the Water: Bring your water to just before boiling point, around 80°C to 85°C (176°F to 185°F). It's crucial not to use boiling water, as it can scald the tea, leading to a bitter taste and diminishing the benefits of green tea.
  • Steep the Tea: Place in a teapot or cup. Pour the hot water over the tea. Allow it to steep for about 2-3 minutes. For a stronger taste, you can steep it a minute longer, but be cautious not to over brew.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Once steeped to your liking, strain the tea into your cup. If desired, you can add a small amount of honey to accentuate the tea's natural sweetness. Then, sit back, relax, and savour the unique and refreshing flavours.

Remember, the key to the perfect cup lies in the care you put into its preparation. Enjoy this delightful blend as part of your daily ritual, or share it with loved ones for a special tea-drinking experience.

Tasting Notes: Exquisite, floral aroma with a light and grassy flavour. A delicate balance of sweetness and freshness that leaves a smooth and lingering aftertaste. Best enjoyed hot, but also delightful chilled as an iced tea on warmer days.

Caffeine Level: Low. Suitable for all-day drinking without disrupting sleep patterns.
Storage: To preserve its freshness and flavour, store in an airtight container away from direct sunlight and moisture.

Benefits of Elderflower Green Tea

The benefits extend far beyond its exquisite taste and aromatic delight. This unique blend harmoniously combines the health-promoting properties of green tea with the therapeutic qualities of elderflower, offering numerous benefits for overall well-being.

Green tea, a rich source of antioxidants, is renowned for its ability to enhance mental alertness, support weight management, and reduce the risk of heart disease. Its antioxidative properties help neutralise harmful free radicals, contributing to healthier skin and a reduced risk of chronic diseases.

It helps alleviate symptoms of cold and flu, enhances respiratory health, and offers gentle detoxification benefits. Additionally, it can contribute to improved digestive health and offers stress-reducing qualities.

Combining these two powerful ingredients, it becomes a potent beverage that supports overall health, encourages relaxation, and provides a refreshing taste that can be enjoyed throughout the day.

  2. I can smell the elderflower and could taste it as an after taste, an undertone. Again this tea just not be just dropped into the tea pot, but measured with consideration, as this company seems to have the best quality green teas around the UK, they are high quality and strong, so a little goes a long way. Good value for money green teas.
