Description
Peppermint Tea Leaves make one of the best and most popular types of Herbal Tea in the world. Brewing them is far from a new idea, the practice dating back millennia.
However, their use has become widespread again due to well-documented Peppermint Tea benefits. Perhaps even better is the fact that they taste great. We pack them fresh to order at our Kent-based factory.
Botanical Features of Peppermint Tea Leaves
Peppermint Tea Leaves come from the aromatic, rhizomatous, perennial plant, Mentha piperita, a member of the Lamiaceae family. This is a natural hybrid of Watermint (Mentha aquatica) and Spearmint (Mentha spicata), the latter of which we stock as Spearmint Tea.
It can reach heights of 90cm (35 inches), growing light-purple flowers and, of course, the green leaves with serrated edges found here.
The native home of Peppermint is Europe and the Middle-East, but it now thrives through much of the world. Legend has it that Persephone, the wife of the Greek God Hades, turned one of her husband’s lovers into the herb out of jealousy.
Hades then imbued it with alluring and aromatic mintiness in honour of his mistress’ former beauty. Did he imbue it, too, with caffeine?
Is There Caffeine in Peppermint Tea Leaves?
The story of Hades and Peppermint is just that - a story. What we need to establish now is its scientifically-backed constituents, including whether or not it contains caffeine.
The answer, simply, is no. This is a 100% caffeine-free infusion, one considered an especially excellent choice among those looking to cut down their intake. It has instead a wealth of antioxidants. Why not discover its potential today?

Peppermint Tea Leaves Benefits
We’ve mentioned already that your cuppa contains an abundance of antioxidants. What we haven’t said, which we intend to rectify now, is that these same antioxidants contribute significantly to the Benefits of Peppermint Tea.
Studies suggest that frequent consumption can improve heart health, aid digestion and reduce diabetes risks. There is even the chance of preventing acne!
Peppermint Tea Leaves for Acne
There is evidence indicating that Peppermint Leaves Tea benefits can help with acne and other skin issues. Antioxidants, combined with its anti-inflammatory properties, can reduce redness caused by the condition.
Additionally, its antiseptic qualities prevent the build-up of bacteria that clogs pores. You might want to think twice, then, before buying a £90 tub of skin cream!
