Description

There is a nickname for Moringa: "The Miracle Tree". The same, indeed, applies to our Moringa Citrus Wellness Tea. This herb has played a significant role in ancient Indian Ayurvedic medicine. Today, it also has the backing of much of modern science.

This particular Tea consists of moringa leaves as its base ingredient. To this, we add orange slices, tangerine pieces, apple pieces, rosehip pieces and lemon oil. This is to name but a few ingredients, with many more waiting to be discovered. Combined, they create the "wellness" in Moringa Citrusy Wellness Tea. However, these delectable ingredients likewise create exceptional flavour. Expect herbaceous overtones and fruity, citrusy undertones with every sip.

What is Moringa?

Moringa (Moringa oleifera) originates from the foothills of the Himalayas in Nepal and Northern India. It has since spread to many regions of the world with tropical and subtropical climates. This includes the Arabian peninsula, the African continent, Southeast Asia, the Caribbean and Polynesia.

This deciduous tree can reach up to 12 metres (39 feet) in height. Its trunk is thick with a white-grey bark, while its leaves are composed and tripinnate. These leaves make up our Moringa Citrus Wellness Tea. It also grows white flowers and brown dehiscent capsules (legumes).

Moringa has many other names. This includes "drumstick tree", "horseradish tree", "ben oil tree" and "benzoyl tree". The name "horseradish tree", in particular, refers to the taste of the tree's roots, which indeed resembles horseradish. However, the leaves used in this Tea boast an altogether different flavour and aroma. Why not find out for yourself today?

Moringa in Ayurveda

According to Ayurvedic Medicine, a holistic approach to wellbeing, Moringa leaves have many benefits. Practitioners of this ancient belief system say that Moringa has a heating energetic effect. It also has detoxifying and cleansing qualities, particularly for blood and fat tissues.

In fact, in the Ayurveda textbook entitled Bhava Prakash, these leaves are called "sigru", which means "moves like an arrow". This refers to Moringa's reported ability to deeply and rapidly penetrate tissues, even to the depth of the bone marrow for deep cleansing.

If you'd prefer to keep your mind in the modern world, then do not despair. Our Moringa Citrus Wellness Tea contains a wealth of vitamins, minerals and other antioxidants. This includes Vitamins A, B1, B3 and C, Calcium, Chromium, Protein and Zinc.
