Description

Looking for a unique and special tea to add to your collection? Look no further than Qi Lan Oolong Tea. This rare type of Oolong Tea is made up of long, dark, wiry leaves that have been roasted to perfection, resulting in a full-bodied and smoky taste with notes of honey.

Sweet and wholesome to the last sip, you’re bound to fall for its character and charm. So why not give Qi Lan Oolong Tea a try today? You won’t be disappointed!

Where is Qi Lan Oolong Tea From

This Loose Leaf Tea originates from the Wuyi Mountains of Fujian Province in China. Like all varieties of Oolong, it undergoes semi-oxidation that sits somewhere between Green and Black Tea. Qu Lan Oolong, in particular, is less oxidised than its counterparts, such as Da Hong Pao Tea.

The fact that it is roasted, too, makes it a truly unique choice for both casual drinkers and connoisseurs.

How to Make Qi Lan Oolong Tea

  1. Purchase a Tea Filter or Infuser and fill it with Tea.

  2. Place the item in a cup or mug of your choice.

  3. Boil fresh water and let it cool to temperatures between 70°C and 90°C.

  4. Fill the cup with water and allow it to steep for 1-3 minutes.

How to Serve: Consider a slice of lemon or a dollop of honey. Alternatively, serve without additions.

Tasting Notes: Imparts sweet yet smoky flavours with notes of honey.

Benefits of Qi Lan Oolong Tea

These nutrients combined work on a molecular level to reduce the risk of several conditions.

And that’s just the beginning. One 2001 study involved volunteers with eczema drinking Oolong Tea over an extended period. Following a month, these participants experienced a noticeable improvement in symptoms.

Furthermore, according to preliminary research, it has been reported to enhance cognitive function, lower blood pressure, alleviate mild anxiety and even enable weight loss.

  3. Excellent aroma and leaf shape, the tea is high quality but it lacks complexity on its foretaste. For a high oxidation Oolong I would like a little more fruitiness at the front of the tongue. Aftertaste is well structured and deep.
