It also has potential to boost the metabolism, which enables the body to burn fat quicker and more efficiently. But for those who are here for taste and taste alone, Camomile Lavender and Rose Blend will never cease to impress.

Camomile in this Blend

To understand this Tea fully, one should first examine each ingredient individually, starting with the Camomile Flower. There are two common varieties of Camomile: German Camomile (Chamomilla recutita) and Roman Camomile (Chamaemelum nobile), which both belong to the Asteraceae/Compositae family. Roman Camomile is a hardy, low-growing perennial plant.

It is a garden favourite due to its apple-like scent, and blooms between May and September. It has a small, yellow solid cone surrounded by white rays, while the leaves are twice divided, thus giving it a feathery appearance. German Camomile, meanwhile, is a hardy, self-seeding annual herb. It has a hollow, bright gold cone around the blossom, which is ringed with numerous white rays. Most importantly, both types make excellent Herbal Teas.

Lavender in this Blend

The next ingredient is Lavender, which is known botanically as Lavandula angustifolia and belongs to the mint family, Lamiaceae. It originates from the Mediterranean; however, it has also long grown in other temperate and subtropical climates around the world, particularly Europe, the United States and Australia.

Lavender is used in many household and commercial products such as soaps, shampoos, potpourri and cloth sachets. In Ancient Egypt, it was also used as a perfume and in incense. But here at The Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Company, we like it best in our Camomile Lavender and Rose Blend.

Rose Petals in this Blend

Finally, the rose included in this Tea belongs to the Rosaceae family. It is a perennial flowering plant consisting of hundreds of different species. Sharp prickles famously protect the stem of the plant; however, one certainly does not need to worry about that when it comes to our Camomile Lavender and Rose Blend.

Unsurprisingly, we use only the petals, all of which are of the finest quality! In fact, it’s worth noting that every ingredient included in our Camomile Lavender and Rose Blend is of the finest quality. Like all of our Teas, it is packed fresh to order here in our Pluckley-based factory, which is nestled within the stunning vistas of the Kentish countryside. This ensures both quality and consistency.
