Brewing instructions

Ceylon Tea BOP Nuwara Eliya Alton is a Ceylon Black Tea type from the Alton Tea Estate. The grade is a “BOP,” which stands for “Broken Orange Pekoe.” This term refers to the way the leaves have been cut into smaller pieces, ultimately producing a stronger flavour when brewed.

Expect a lovely, dark liquor with a full-bodied taste - perfect drinking be it summer or winter.

Furthermore, Ceylon Tea BOP Nuwara Eliya Alton contains a significant amount of caffeine - specifically, around 45-mg per 8-oz cup. If, then, you’re looking for an extra boost, you’ve chosen well here.

Perhaps most important of all, we pack it fresh to order here at our Kent-based factory. This is our way of guaranteeing quality and consistency, time and time again.

The Alton Tea Estate

This garden lies in the Maskeliya sub-district of Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. It is at elevations between 4,700 and 5,550 feet above sea level, covering an area of 350 hectares (865 acres).

The factory situated here produces approximately 2,400kg of Tea daily, including, of course, our Ceylon Tea BOP Nuwara Eliya Alton. Why not discover its full potential today?
