About Colombia and Coffee

Colombia is the fourth-largest Coffee producer in the world after Brazil, Vietnam and Indonesia, respectively. It accounts for 12% of the industry’s beans, most of which start life at altitudes between 1,000 and 2,000 metres. Here, dutiful Coffee workers, spread across some 500,000 farms, nurture the plants before harvesting takes place.

This practice has been instrumental to the Colombian economy since at least the 17th century. Historians believe that it was European Jesuit priests who initially introduced Coffee to the country.

However, the first shipment didn’t travel overseas until 1835, when the United States purchased 2,500 pounds of beans. By 1875, after its independence from Spain, Colombia was sending 170,000 bags to America and Europe.

Now, of course, Colombian Coffee is immensely popular across the globe. Our Colombia Coffee Bags offer the best of the best of this country while making your life easier.

What more could you want from your new favourite beverage? It’s time, surely, that you started brewing up and indulging! You won’t be disappointed by everything it has to offer.
