Darjeeling 1st Flush Tea Organic Phoobsering 2016

Phoobsering is one of the oldest tea estates in Darjeeling, spread over 510 hectares of land. It was established by the Darjeeling Tea Company in 1856 along with Ging, Tukdah and Ambotia Estates. This small leaf, light green in colour is full of sweet and downy tips for an impressive cup!

Type of Tea- Organic Orthodox Indian Black Tea.

Origin- West Valley, Darjeeling, India.

Altitude- 3000- 6000 Feet above sea level.

Leaf Grade- Fine Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe - Grade 1

Harvest- April 2016

Brewing Guide- Use water at 80 degree and Infuse for 3-5 minutes.

How to Serve- Best to served as it is.

Tasting Notes- Slight sweet and fruity notes with a first flush flavour.

Colour in Cup- A bright amber liquor

History- Unlike many tea estates, this one was not named after the breath taking beauty that surrounded it, nor ancient legend or historical event. It was named after the first Supervisor or 'Sardar' however, the reasons as to why remain a mystery. Producing 133 million tonnes oof tea a year, the valley's cool mountain air allows the bushes to grow gradually.
