Description

Darjeeling Autumn Tea Giddapahar is a Black Tea from the Indian district of Darjeeling, West Bengal. It is, specifically, the product of the Giddapahar Tea Estate, which finds itself nestled in the Himalayas.

Workers harvest its leaves in the Autumn, coinciding with when the climate cools, between early-October until mid-November. When brewed, it has a smooth, nutty and rich flavour unlike any other.

It’s worth noting, too, that Darjeeling Tea boasts a considerable amount of caffeine - approximately 40-mg per 8-oz cup. There is also a chance, according to modern scientific research, of it coming with Black Tea benefits.

Perhaps best of all is the fact that The Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Company pack it fresh to order. This ensures not only quality but also consistency.

Giddapahar Darjeeling Tea Estate

The name “Giddapahar”, translated, means “Eagle’s Cliff or ”Eagle's Mountain“. This refers to the Estate's ideal location, which is between 4,500 and 5,200 feet above sea level.

Such a factor plays a significant role in the taste and character of our Darjeeling Autumn Tea Giddapahar.

Another factor is that the garden uses the Camellia sinensis var sinensis (Chinese Tea plant) variety in production.

Since 1881, Giddapahar has been under the nurturing management and ownership of the Shaw family. Four generations later, and they continue to impress with their duties to the Estate.

Those same values apply at The Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Company, an establishment built through four generations of the Smith family working in the Tea industry.

How to Brew Darjeeling Autumn Tea Giddapahar

1, Add Loose Leaf Tea to a Tea Infuser or Filter.

2, Place the Tea-filled accessory in a cup or mug.

3,Put the kettle on and, once boiled, pour it over the leaves.

4, Allow it to steep for 2-4 minutes.

How to Serve: There is the option of adding milk, sugar, honey or lemon. However, we believe it provides the best flavour without any accompaniments.

Benefits of Darjeeling Autumn Tea Giddapahar

All types of Black Tea contain an abundance of antioxidants capable of improving health and wellbeing in a variety of ways.

According to research, these antioxidants can combat free radicals in the body, the product of natural, though harmful, human oxidation.

The result is that Darjeeling Autumn Tea Giddapahar reduces the risk of developing numerous chronic conditions.

But that’s not all on offer here. Many believe that it can boost the metabolism of fat cells. This then enables the body to burn fat quicker and more efficiently, thus promoting weight loss.

Additionally, according to a 2014 Korean study published in the Journal of Toxicological Research, Black Tea has anti-ageing properties. It also prevents acne while protecting you against UV radiation.
