What makes a good Coffee? There are many factors to account for, beginning with the type of bean used. With our Hazelnut Flavoured Coffee, we use Arabica beans, which are considered by many to be the best quality Types of Coffee Beans, particularly when compared to Robusta beans.
Arabica beans are often older and more mature types of beans. When brewed, Arabica beans are noted as being smoother and more flavoursome than their Robusta counterparts. They also contain less caffeine (1.5% caffeine content), more lipids (60% more than Robusta beans) and twice the amount of natural sugars. Arabica beans take ten months to ripen before being ready for harvest. But it’s worth the wait, especially when it comes to Hazelnut Flavoured Coffee.
Contrary to popular belief, Flavoured Coffees are not new creations. They have, in fact, existed for centuries, whereby nuts and berries were often added to enhance flavour. Now, however, advances in technology allow flavour to be added directly to the bean. It is a safe and more efficient method of flavouring, one we have perfected after 30 years’ experience with Coffee.
