Japanese Tea Taster Chest Brewing Guide
- Measure the Tea: Use 1 teaspoon (about 2 grams) of loose leaf tea per cup (200ml) of water.
- Heat the Water: Bring fresh water to just below boiling, ideally around 75–80°C (167–176°F).
- Steep the Leaves: Pour the hot water over the tea leaves and let them steep for 1–2 minutes.
- Strain and Serve: Strain the leaves and enjoy your tea. For a milder flavour, use a shorter steeping time; for a stronger taste, steep a little longer.
- Re-steep: These teas can be re-steeped 1–2 times. Simply add a little more time for each additional infusion.
