Description

If you can’t choose between your favourite white tea and your favourite green tea, why not have both? Jasmine Jade Ring Green Tea not only offers the best of both worlds, but also adds the sweet, floral taste of jasmine flower, all of which infuses perfectly to make one of our all-time favourite brews.

Jasmine Jade Ring Green Tea is made by acquiring the finest quality green and white tea and layering it with jasmine petals as the leaves dry. Following this, the tea leaves are rolled into ring shapes, hence the unique name.

This beverage offers delicate grassy and floral notes with slightly sweet undertones. It is a popular choice year-round for many reasons including its incredible health benefits, which are essentially twofold. The white tea leaves are known for supporting digestive health, while the green tea leaves can reduce the risks of Type II Diabetes. But this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Further exploring the world of teas scented with jasmine, as well as the intricate processing method involved in its making, it is important to note that in order to ensure quality, jasmine buds are picked in the early afternoons of June, July, and August. This is done by experienced and dutiful labourers who only hand-pick buds expected to bloom that same evening. As night falls, the jasmine buds are stored in a dry place until hundreds upon hundreds of blossoms open into the cool air, releasing their beautiful scent. It is then, and only then, that these jasmine blossoms are placed in basket trays and layered over tea leaves during what is known as the ‘scenting process’. After some hours, the tea leaves underneath absorb the fragrance and distinctive flavour of jasmine, with some higher grade teas requiring this process to be repeated for quality and effectiveness.

Type of Tea: Blended Loose Leaf White and Green Tea.

Origin: China.

Brewing Instructions: Brew using freshly boiled water left to cool to temperatures between 80 and 90 degrees. Following this, infuse for 2 to 3 minutes.

How to Serve: This tea is best served as it is.

Tasting Notes: The heavenly taste of Jasmine Jade Ring Green Tea consists of delicate grassy notes with undertones reminiscent of cherry blossom. Smooth and fresh with every sip, this beverage makes for very easy-drinking.

Colour in Cup: Peachy liquor with golden highlights, light in tone.

Health Benefits: While the white tea blended into Jasmine Jade Ring Tea is undoubtedly healthy, it is the green tea that offers the most in terms of health-promoting properties. This is due to the antioxidant strength of green tea, which most famously contains high concentrations of a compound known as Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). Not only is EGCG the most important antioxidant compound found in Green Tea for healthy lifestyles, but it likewise provides the tea with its characteristic colour and flavour (this even applies to blends such as Jasmine Jade Ring Tea).

EGCG can combat free radicals found in the body, which as a result, reduces the risks of complications such as cardiovascular disease and Type II Diabetes. Furthermore, Jasmine Jade Ring Tea can help you lose weight by stimulating the metabolism. This, in turn, helps the body to burn fat quicker, and far more efficiently during periods of exercise.

  1. Although more expensive than the jasmine pearls not sure I prefer it as it's not as "jasminy". Still a very good tea.

  2. A very unusual tea with a lovely jasmine flavour and scent. I have this one without milk. Don't allow the tea to steep for too long; 3 mins is enough. Steeping for too long makes the brew taste bitter and bitter isn't what you want from this delightful tea.
