Description

Unique in appearance with its trademark silvery green colour, Jasmine Yin Hao Lotus Green Tea uses only the finest leaves when manufactured. These leaves are lightly steamed and then gently infused with the scent of Jasmine, creating a blend that is quality assured and delicious! This slightly fermented silver tip tea is also often infused several times with the Jasmine blossom, enhancing the overall flavour and aroma in this delicate and smooth brew.

To date back to Jasmine Yin Hao Lotus tea’s origins, we must first examine the birth of Jasmine Tea as a whole, as well as its extraordinary processing method. Jasmine Leaf Tea is thought to have originated from the Chinese Song Dynasty, although it would not become a nationwide popular beverage until the Ming Dynasty. Dating back over 1,000 years, this ancient brew undergoes a fascinating and intricate processing method that requires years of experience and weeks of careful labour. This begins with the jasmine buds handpicked in the early afternoons of the summer months and stored away just prior to blooming. That same evening, as the buds begin to unfurl, the flowers are placed into basket trays and layered over tea leaves during what is known as the scenting process. It is during this period that the scent of the Jasmine begins to infuse with the leaves, creating the distinctive flavour and aroma we know and love today! The quality of jasmine loose tea is often determined by the quality of the green tea used, so please rest assured knowing Jasmine Yin Hao Lotus is one of the finest quality Jasmine teas available!
