Located in Eastern China, the Anhui Province is considered one of the smallest of China’s 21 provinces. The northern flatlands are densely populated, but the southern area is mountainous and is home to the Huangshan mountain range. Many teas to originate from the Anhui Province are grown in this particular region. This dates back hundreds, if not thousands of years.

By the 7th Century, Anhui was exporting tea to the rest of China, as well as foreign countries. By the late 19th century, Anhui began exporting Keemun Tea, another beverage to famously originate from the province to England. Keemun is a black tea, but the Anhui province is arguably most famous for Green Tea. In fact, the province ranks number 5 in green tea production out of all the provinces of China. Jin Shan Shi Yu Tea is undoubtedly one of the best teas that the Anhui Province can offer.

  2. I just love the smell to start with. It reminds me of some of the gorgeous Chinese teas I tasted way back in the 1970's. Nearly drunk the lot. I learnt recently how good green teas are, drunk on a regular basis, as I do, in helping blood thinning. A wonderful helper as blood thickening problems can cause strokes. My Chinese friends put me on green teas a long time ago. I will definitely buy this one again.
