Description

The Kenya Tea Estate of Kosabei lies in the Nandi highlands at an altitude of over 5500 feet. Kosabei has a great reputation for producing top quality high grown orthodox loose leaf teas. A classic leafy orthodox Kenyan Tea which we highly recommend!

Grade- Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe

Ingredients- Black Tea from Kenya

Brewing Guide- We recommend using 1 teaspoon of the leaf, but if you like a stronger tea, then you could use up to 1½. This tea tastes best with freshly boiled water (roughly 100 degrees) and left to infuse for 3 to 5 minutes. If you wanted your tea to be stronger, you can leave it for up to 7 minutes.

How to Serve- Best served with milk. Depending on personal taste, you can drink this tea black or add sugar, mint, lemon or honey.

Tasting Notes- A fine deep malty character with notes of toffee.

Colour in Cup- A bright golden, coppery colour.

Pack sizes available- 50g, 125g, 250g, 500g, 1 Kilo. ( We pack everything fresh to order, nothing is off the shelf ! ). We pack all our teas in a unique material which combines card and foil, regarded as the best for retaining freshness and quality.

Storage- In an airtight container away from other strong scents and heat. We would recommend using this tea within a year of purchasing.

Health Benefits- Black tea has been said to help aid weight-loss. It also contains a nice level of caffeine to give you a more natural boost without the crash after a few hours.

Advice on tea you might like- Kenya Tea, Kenya Lelsa FBOP or Kenya Milima Loose Leaf Tea

  3. Very good quality African tea. It is very different to Indian or Chinese teas, so I strongly recommend it for Black Tea lovers and explorers. Do not drink with milk.
