Description

The Sri Lankan Moragalla Tea Estate lies in the South West of the “Island of Tea” Ceylon. The Tea Garden is in the coastal district of Galle close to the town of Kadngannawa and was  established in 1870. A low level estate with altitudes varying from 40 to 60 metres. The atmosphere has a higher than average salt content that effects the soil, adding a unique special quality to the final tea production. The loose leaves are picked by hand and include the freshest two leaves and bud as well as more mature leaves. This is a semi fermented tea in an oolong style. The end result is a very fine looking leaf, black, long and wiry. A golden liquor in cup with a full malty aroma and taste.
