What is Moringa Tea?

Moringa oleifera is a tree belonging to the Moringaceae family, growing up to eight metres high and consisting of smooth bark and sparse foliage. Its leaves, which we use to create Herbal Tea, measure about 90 centimetres (approx. 35 inches).

Though thriving in tropical and subtropical regions around the world, it is its home in India where the people first discovered Moringa Tea benefits.

According to Ayurveda, an ancient practice of holistic healing, it can treat skin blemishes, heart disease and tuberculosis. Ancient Egyptians later learned of it, at which point it became a natural sunscreen to protect against the harsh desert heat.

In ancient Rome and Greece, it was used for ointment and expensive perfume. It finally spread to the Pacific Islands, becoming a staple of local society.
