Are you interested in having an Afternoon Tea in Edinburgh? If so, look no further than the list below. This city is the capital of Scotland, which in turn is part of the UK alongside England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Historically, the area once found itself within the county of Midlothian (interchangeably Edinburghshire before 1921). Geographically, it is located in Lothian on the Firth of Forth’s southern shore.

According to archaeological evidence, people have lived in and around the Edinburgh area since at least c. 8,500 BCE. When the Romans came at the end of the 1st century CE, they found a Brittonic Celtic tribe whose name they recorded as Votadini.
By the early Middle Ages, those living here identified themselves as belonging to the Gododdin kingdom. Several hundreds of years later, during the 15th century, Edinburgh was officially recognised as the capital of Scotland. Today, it is the seat of the Scottish Government, the Scottish Parliament and the supreme courts of Scotland.
The city has long been a hub for education, particularly in the fields of medicine, as well as law, literature, philosophy, the sciences and engineering. It’s also the second-largest financial centre and the second-most-popular tourist destination in the United Kingdom, the first on both counts being London in England.
Visitors come from far and wide to explore the National Museum of Scotland, the National Library of Scotland and the Scottish National Gallery. Furthermore, both the Edinburgh International Festival and the Fringe never cease to inspire.
