Our journey started three generations ago in 1920’s India. It was here that Mr Robert Stammers and his wife Mrs Madeline Stammers, grandfather and grandmother of our present owner, Mr Richard Smith, began working in the Tea Industry as planters. For thirty years they cemented their family name in the Tea Industry, only for it to continue with their daughter, Janet, who married Mr Malcolm Smith, together managing one of India’s largest tea plantation companies based in Calcutta.
On returning to England, the baton was passed on to their son, Richard, who with the help of his mother continues the decades-old tradition of supplying clients and customers with the finest teas and coffees.
