Description

Assam Tea Panitola TGFOP is an Indian Tea from the Panitola Estate in Assam. When brewed, it offers a full-bodied flavour with a distinctly malty aftertaste.

There are several reasons to choose this infusion, including the fact we pack it fresh to order. This is our way of guaranteeing not only quality but also consistency. Why not make the most of your morning cuppa today?

It’s also worth noting that Assam Tea Panitola TGFOP, like all Black Teas, comes with health benefits. Indeed, drinking this beverage might improve heart health, enhance brain function, support the immune system and reduce the risk of developing type-2 diabetes.

This is according to the latest scientific research, which indicates that Black Tea can improve life in small yet significant ways.

What Does “TGFOP” Mean?

Do you find all these grade names baffling? You’re not the only one. When it comes to this particular beverage, the term TGFOP stands for “Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe”.

The latter part of this term, FOP, denotes Tea made from the top bud and the first two leaves of each new shoot. The former part refers to how it contains a high content of golden tips.

Assam Panitola Tea Estate

Going with Assam Tea Panitola TGFOP is, in many respects, an ethical choice. This is because the estate undoubtedly knows how to look after its employees.

It operates two primary schools, providing education for up to 500 workers’ children, while also offering free books and a mid-day meal. Additionally, it has two central creches and four mobile creches for children under six years.

Senior students have full access to the free computer training centre on-site, which nurtures growth and ambition.

Then there is the estate’s hospital, supplying the local population with free healthcare and medical needs.

Finally, the local shop enables workers to procure essential commodities at reasonable rates. But what about the Loose Tea itself?

Panitola is the epicentre of all the upper Assam Tea gardens. In part due to this positioning, as well as the local climatic conditions, the leaves it produces often offer a strong liquor in cup.

The estate creates several grades, including FBOP (Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe), GBOP (Golden Broken Orange Pekoe) and STGFOP (Super Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe).

How to Brew This Assam TGFOP Black Tea in Four Easy Steps

2, Place the Tea-filled accessory in a cup or mug.

3, Put the kettle on and, once boiled, pour it over the leaves.

4, Allow it to steep for 3-5 minutes.

How to Serve: Milk, sugar, honey or lemon - the choice is yours. Alternatively, serve black.

Health Benefits of Assam Tea Panitola TGFOP

Did you know that caffeine in Black Tea can support health and wellbeing in a multitude of ways? A study out of John Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA, can support this remarkable claim with evidence.

It concluded that a 200 mg caffeine pill is all it might take to help those living with dementia. Pretty neat for your new favourite brew, huh?

  10. Panitola is a gloriously fragrant and malty Assam. It has a really distinctive rounded character with no astringency whatsoever.
Panitola has become my comfort tea. It is the Worthington White Shield IPA of the tea world.
