This Emperor grade Rose Congou Superior Tea is from the Chinese province of Fujian. In China this tea is often referred to as Rose Congou Emperor. This Flowery Orange Pekoe has been grown at high altitude and is only produced in small batches.
We are very pleased to be able to offer this gorgeous tea. The orthodox black tea leaves are layered five times with rose petals giving this tea its delicate and magical quality.
Grade- Flowery Orange Pekoe ( FOP )
Ingredients- Chinese Black Tea and Rose Petals
Brewing Guide- We recommend using 1 teaspoon of the leaf, but if you like a stronger tea, then you could use up to 1½. This tea tastes best with freshly boiled water (roughly 100 degrees) and left to infuse for 3 to 5 minutes. If you wanted your tea to be stronger, you can leave it for up to 7 minutes.
How to Serve- Best served black. Depending on personal taste, you can add milk, sugar, lemon, mint or honey.
Tasting Notes- A delicate floral taste with malty notes. Colour in Cup- A light colour with a touch of copper.
