Description

You’ve discovered the best Blackcurrant Leaf Tea. This is a Herbal Tea made from the leaves of the plant of the same name. Its unique herbaceous flavour and smooth, sweet aftertaste make it easily recognisable. Even more impressive, perhaps, is its reported ability to serve as a Detox Tea. Take comfort in knowing that we pack it fresh to order here at our Kent-based factory, ensuring quality and consistency.

Botanical Information About Blackcurrant Leaves

Blackcurrant (Ribes nigrum) is a small perennial shrub from the Ribes (Grossulariaceae) family. Native to much of northern Europe and North America, it can grow to two metres tall, boasting famously delicious berries and, of course, leaves. It is the latter component that you’ll find in Blackcurrant Leaf Tea. But will it help you get out of bed in the morning? In other words, does Blackcurrant Leaf Tea have caffeine?

Does Blackcurrant Leaf Tea Have Caffeine?

The stimulating chemical compound found in most types of so-called “real” Tea (Camellia sinensis) and Roast Coffee is caffeine. Brewing a cup of Blackcurrant Leaf Tea, meanwhile, is a caffeine-free option, and, as a result, you’ll receive 0% of the constituent. Therefore, if you’re hoping to cut down your intake, you’ve chosen exceptionally well. Now is the time to show you how to make it.

How to Make Blackcurrant Leaf Tea

  1. Put Loose Tea into a Filter or Infuser (both available here).

  2. Place the accessory in your cup.

  3. Pour freshly boiled water over it.

  4. Allow it to steep for 5-10 minutes.

How to Serve: Consider honey or lemon. Alternatively, serve without additions.

Tasting Notes: Imparts a distinct herbaceous flavour with smooth and sweet undertones.

Benefits of Blackcurrant Leaf Tea

Brimming with Vitamins A, B-1, B-5, B-6 and C, Blackcurrant Leaf Tea will, undoubtedly, support your health and wellbeing in various ways. It functions on a molecular level to combat free radicals in the body, thereby slowing oxidative stress and ultimately reducing the risk of developing several chronic conditions. Among them are cardiovascular disease, type-2 diabetes and even, potentially, cancer.

Blackcurrant Leaf Tea for Weight Loss

Though not proven outright, scientists and researchers believe that the health benefits of Blackcurrant Leaf Tea extend to your waistline. The reason, according to preliminary evidence, is its capacity to boost the metabolism of fat cells. Doing so enables the body to burn fat quicker and more efficiently, leading to periods of exercising producing more noticeable results. What could be better than that?

  3. Blackcurrant leaves hardly have any fragrance. I rated them as "good" because i do not know how old this product is and also I do not know the technology used for drying/preparing them for sale. I have to say that I used making my own blackcurrant leaves tea and it kept well its wonderful aroma.
