Breakfast Tea

Breakfast Tea is enjoyed all over the world as the perfect companion to breakfast. Because of different waters and regional preferences, there are many kinds of teas, and we offer a wide range of blended options. Traditionalists say that the classic blend should include both Ceylon Tea and Assam Tea. The leaf grade may also vary; we produce both an FOP (Flowery Orange Pekoe) and a BOP (Broken Orange Pekoe) version of this longstanding favourite, which remains our most popular tea.

Types of Breakfast Tea

While English Breakfast Tea is the most familiar, there are several regional blends that reflect the diverse tastes and traditions of tea-drinking cultures. Each one combines classic black teas with subtle variations in strength, flavour and origin.

Irish Breakfast Tea
A bold blend of Assam and Ceylon black teas, with a higher proportion of Ceylon to create a bright and malty cup. Available in both Flowery Orange Pekoe (FOP) and Broken Orange Pekoe (BOP) leaf grades.

Welsh Breakfast Tea
This blend combines malty Assam with bright, fruity orthodox teas from Kenya. The result is a smooth and balanced infusion with gentle strength and aromatic lift. Offered in both large leaf (FOP) and smaller cut (BOP) versions.

Scottish Breakfast Tea
Inspired by Scotland’s legacy in the global tea trade, this robust blend features Kenyan teas, bold Assams and a touch of Darjeeling for brightness. The cup is rich and balanced, perfect for a strong start to the day.

French Breakfast Tea
A refined blend created for the elegant tea houses of Paris. Chinese Keemun Mao Feng is paired with premium Assam for a smooth, slightly smoky profile with excellent depth. Available as a Superior French Breakfast and Village Blend.

Russian Breakfast Tea
Combining high-grade Keemun teas with Kenyan orthodox leaves, this blend delivers a rounded, comforting cup with light smokiness and body. A distinctive favourite with a loyal following.

Indian Breakfast Tea
Reflecting India’s deep-rooted tea culture, this blend combines high-grown Darjeeling and rich Assam black tea. Enjoy it plain, milky or with spices for a masala-style twist.

Blend Your Own
For those who enjoy customisation, many customers create their own house breakfast tea using components such as Assam, Ceylon, Kenyan and Chinese black teas. It’s an enjoyable way to explore flavour and keep notes on your favourite combinations.
