Fruit Tisanes are the “Trojan horse” of the Tea world. By this, we mean that they’ve ‘snuck’ into the Tea market - despite the fact they’re not technically “Teas”.
Indeed, contrary to popular belief, a Fruit Tisane contains no leaves from the Camellia sinensis (Tea) plant. In other words, it’s an imposter - but a particularly delicious one, to say the least!
Many might be surprised to hear that these delectable beverages likely pre-date so-called ‘real’ Tea. Thousands of years later and they became a quintessentially American infusion during the revolution.
