Black Tea News

Black Tea is, undoubtedly, the most popular type as of the 21st century. Like Green, White and Oolong Tea, it comes from the Camellia sinensis (Tea) plant. So what, then, makes it different from the others? During the processing of the leaf, Black Tea undergoes oxidation and fermentation for the longest period. This often ensures that, when brewed, it consists of refined malty flavours with occasional notes of chocolate, fruits or nuts. Contrary to popular belief, its a relatively new creation. While Green Tea dates back some 5,000 years, this beverage came into existence during the Chinese Qing Dynasty (1644-1912 CE). According to legend, the first odf this type of Tea was Lapsang Souchong - the product of an accident! So why, exactly, should you drink this today? Its exceptional taste is a great starting point. However, there is also much to be said about Black Tea benefits. Indeed, scientific research suggests that its frequent consumption can support wellbeing in a plethora of ways. From promoting weight loss to improving cardiovascular health; enhancing cognitive function to reducing stress, be sure to choose Black Tea. Read our blogs, buy our products and make a change!
