Ceylon Kiruwanaganga Silver Tips is a type of Orthodox Sri Lanka Black Tea. It comes from one of the highest-quality, low elevation plantations in the country, its taste best described as strong, aromatic and unusually full-bodied.

As its name likely suggests, it contains a significant amount of silver tips. We pack it fresh to order here at our Kent-based factory.

When it comes to its caffeine content, meanwhile, Silver Tips Tea - Ceylon Kiruwanaganga has around 45-mg per 8-oz cup. It might also, according to the latest scientific research, come with Black Tea benefits.

All we know is that it tastes delicious. Why not discover for yourself with The Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Company today? You won’t be disappointed.

About The Kiruwanaganga Tea Estate

This garden stretches over ten divisions and comprises over 450 hectares. It lies in the Deniyaya region of the Matara District at an elevation between 300 and 700 metres. The climatic conditions found here contribute significantly to the bold taste of this infusion.

It specialises in mid-season harvests, which is yet another noteworthy element this Ceylon Loose Leaf Tea.

What Does “Orange Pekoe” Mean?

The term “Orange Pekoe” refers to a Tea grade containing leaves larger than an FOP (Flowery Orange Pekoe). It has a close association with Ceylon Tea, in particular, which is harvested when the buds have opened into leaves - and seldom contain tip.

Silver Tips Tea - Ceylon Kiruwanaganga is, of course, the exception to the rule, going above and beyond to impress all those who choose it.

Health Benefits of Ceylon Kiruwanaganga Silver Tips

All types of Black Tea contain an abundance of antioxidants capable of improving health and wellbeing in a variety of ways. According to research, these antioxidants can combat free radicals in the body, the product of natural, though harmful, human oxidation. In doing this, Ceylon Kiruwanaganga Silver Tips reduces the risk of developing numerous chronic conditions.

But that’s not all on offer here. There is also evidence to suggest that it helps to promote weight loss. The reason is its ability to boost the metabolism of fat cells, which enables the body to burn fat quicker and more efficiently.

Furthermore, it contains no more than two calories per serving, thus making it a great alternative to sugary, fatty soft drinks. It’s vital to note, however, that it’s not going to do all of the work for you. In other words, keep up with those morning jogs and salads.
