Description

Lemon Sencha Green Tea is a Flavoured Green Tea. Scented with fresh lemon, alongside Lemongrass Tea, it is a citrusy delight to the senses from the first to the last sip. Consider it as a warming brew on a cold winter’s evening or a cooling Iced Tea on a hot summer’s day.

No matter the time of year, you’ll want to buy it and try it here at The Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Company.

About this Tea Blend

Legend has it that a Japanese man named Nagatani Soen created Sencha Green Tea in 1738. The tale goes that he had been experimenting with different production methods until he came up with the delightful infusion.

However, the reality is that Sencha is almost certainly a Chinese creation. That doesn’t stop an estimated 78% of Japanese Tea drinkers from choosing it as their favourite beverage.

While most people will be familiar with lemons, enjoying a cup of Lemongrass Tea might be somewhat more of a rare experience. It is a Herbal Tea from the tall perennial grass of the same name.

Most famously, it has a close association with Brazilian folk medicine, where the Quilombo communities (people of African descent) consume it for boosted immunity. Why not discover its potential yourself?

How to Make Lemon Sencha Green Tea

  1. Purchase a Tea Filter or Infuser and fill it with Tea.

  2. Place the item in a cup or mug of your choice.

  3. Boil fresh water and let it cool to temperatures between 70°C and 90°C.

  4. Fill the cup with water and allow it to steep for 1-3 minutes.

How to Serve: Those looking for an extra citrusy kick could add more lemon.

Tasting Notes: Imparts distinct notes of lemon with herbaceous and grassy undertones.

Sencha Green Tea with Lemon Benefits
