History- Once upon a time...A Prince became lost in a jungle while hunting. He was found by a beautiful damsel and the two became inseparable lovers. Alas, the match was not to the liking of the Prince's subjects and the pair jumped from a waterfall which is part of the Piduruthalagala, the highest mountain in Sri Lanka, to immortalise their love by falling to their death. Therefore, giving the tea estate a 'steep history' and a catchy name!
